چکیده
The importance of creatinine level in determining pathology the body is still unclear. When evaluated with other kidney function tests, it thought to be a sign another problem. In this study, we examined findings 66-year-old patient no history chronic disease, whose was measured well above reference range (46.78 mg/dL). Despite these results, our survived treatment. conclusion, appropriate treatment can improve prognosis, even at alarming high creatinine. Prognosis may inversely related level. Also, routine tests such as creatinine, patients followed up, and current disease diagnosis investigated.

A 56-year-old woman with Graves' disease presented with the complaints of diarrhea and palpitations. Physical examination and laboratory data revealed hypothermia and signs of mild hyperthyroidism, heart failure, hepatic dysfunction with jaundice, hypoglycemia, and lactic acidosis. The patient was diagnosed as having developed the complication of thyroid storm in the absence of marked elevation...
متن کاملCreatinine determined by "high-performance" liquid chromatography.
We describe a "high-performance" liquid-chromatographic procedure for determination of creatinine in serum. Creatinine is separated from other species by cation-exchange chromatography. Absorbance of the creatinine in the eluate is monitored at 234 nm. Results from this procedure on sera correspond closely to those of a manual Jaffé-reaction procedure involving use of a protein-free filtrate wi...
متن کاملA Surviving Patient with Record High Creatinine
Creatinine is a product of muscle protein breakdown cleared by the kidneys at a constant rate. The glomerular filtration rate is estimated based on serum creatinine. There is no definitive level of serum creatinine which is itself incompatible with human survival. We present the highest serum creatinine associated with survival based on a thorough review of the literature. A 34-year-old male pa...
متن کامل13. Point-of-Care Creatinine Testing in High-Risk Patients
In some circumstances, a creatinine check at home instead of a complete clinical control could be sufficient for patients with renal disease. Home monitoring of serum creatinine concentrations could, for instance, be useful during insecure periods after kidney transplantation, or to keep a close watch on possible disease recurrences. Below we describe a pediatric case of recurrent hemolytic-ure...
